Last July 3 and 4, 2010, around 90, 000 nursing graduates took the Nursing Licensure (Board) Examination to tag their names as registered nurses. The results are out and is being updated by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

The board passers could finally say that persistence paid off after the PRC had released the results of the examination.

The now RN's would definitely celebrate a sweet victory. But what's more exciting to know is the inclusion of three Ateneo de Zamboanga University students in the list of topnotchers.

A Nico Nahar Idris Pajes ranked 9th with 84.80. While Sarah Jane Jaide Labbay and Alexandra Basañez Macalintal both hit the top 10 position in the results of board passers.

On the other hand, here are the Top Performing Schools:

Meanwhile, friends, family, relatives and even fellow Zamboangueños rejoice for the triumph of Zamboanga nurses. This is one great news for our nursing students. This proves that education in nursing in particular is not that worst after all.

As we say it in our native tongue, en hora buena to the newly registered nurses.
