The College Guidance and Counseling Office (CGCO) is gearing up for the Ateneo de Zamboanga University Job Fair 2010 on February 10 to 11, 2010 at the Multi Purpose Covered Court (MPCC), La Purisima Campus.
With the theme "Get There from Here" the two-day job fair is a major activity of the Guidance Office that aims to give the university's graduating college students a range of job opportunities.
CGCO has invited government agencies and private companies around the city and the region to join and hold job recruitment procedures such as filing applications, testing for employment and job interviews.
CGCO Director Estesa Xaris C. Que-Legaspi said that over the years, the job fair has helped prepare students for job searching and placement.
"The job fair represents a good opportunity for students and companies to introduce themselves to each other" says Que-Legaspi.

The Talk 'N Text cagers and San Miguel Beermen arrived today in Zamboanga City for the first Philippine Basketball Association game in Zamboanga City for 2010. The game will be held tomorrow, January 16, 2010 5:00 PM at the Zamboanga City Coliseum. Tickets are sold at P150, P400 and P600.
The event is being organized by the Federacion Basketbolista de Zamboanga (FBZ), a group of committed basketball leaders.

Zamboanga City Mayor Celso L. Lobregat led the ceremonies of th annual Christmas festival which formally kicked-off last December 4, 2009 with the lighting of the Christmas lights at the City Hall, the giant Christmas trees at the Paseo del Mar and Plaza Pershing. The festival dubbed as Pascua na Zamboanga aims to ensure the joyous celebration of the birth of Christ.
