Ten Zamboanga artists collaborated to showcase their works in an art exhibit on October 7, 2009 at the Garden Orchid Hotel Lobby.
In celebration of the Hermosa Festival 2009, City Councilor Gerky Valesco opened his 2nd Solo Art Exhibit titled "Algunas Veces" last October 5, 2009 at the Ateneo de Zamboanga University Gallery of the Peninsula and the Archipelago.
Ms. Hyacinth R. Lim, a fourth year BS Nursing student of Ateneo de Zamboanga University was crowned the 2009 Miss Zamboanga during a beauty pageant held last October 8 at the Astoria Regency, Pasonanca.
