5. CUANDO - COMIC RELIEF

Cuando (When) is the first single of the Comic Relief from their album SICK!!! Calor Kun Calor Se Paga. This song is about a guy asking a girl when she would become his girlfriend.  Any girl who hears this song can not resist its beautiful melody and meaningful lyrics.  Tips for guys who want to get a YES for an aswer, get your guitar (or CD Player) and serenade the apple of your eye.

4. NECESITA- COMIC RELIEF

Necesita is another hit from Comic Relief. The band is composed of Jeloh Bangcal (vocalist), Mark de Leon (back-up vocalist),  Zach “ZACKUY “Quijano (guitarist),  Randy Ramos (bass),  Shilart Anoos (Drums),  Jeff Buhian (percussion).

Necesita (Need) is a mushy song that relates of a sad story of a guy reminiscing moments with her ex-girlfriend and cries out to her to return to his arms because she needs him.

3. Tied for the third place are POR QUE by MALDITA and ETU LANG by COMIC RELIEF.

POR QUE- MALDITA

Who says girls can’t rock? Maldita vocalists Francel de Leon and Demz Espinosa proves that Zamboangueño chicks can bring the house down. Whey Guevarra on acoustic guitar (rhythms) RB (lead guitarist), James Collin Medina (bass guitarist), Mad Nubhan (Drums) and Jesser Sison (Keyboardist) complete the Maldita entourage.

Porque (Why?), an acoustic song that questions a guy for not being able to see the way a girl feels for him.

ETU LANG- COMIC RELIEF

The band decided for the name Comic Relief because they say that the band is composed of crazy yet serious people when it comes for the love of music and that they want to give the listeners a relief through the songs they played.

2. ETU LANG (NUAY MAS OTRO) – MIRAGE BAND

Mirage band is composed of hottie Roel Elong “JayR”  Natividad Jr. (vocalist) , Allan MaraMara (keyboardist), Ariel Pox Amoncio (lead guitarist), Edgar Bermal (drummer), Marlon Marravilla (bassist) and Poloy Tarroza (composer). The name "Mirage" (pronounced as Miradj) a beautiful hallucination, means "MIRA el imaGE Zamboangeño”.  Mirage started on May 15, 2009 during JayR's birthday which at that time was inspired and guided by his Mentor Rico J Puno.

1.  MI ANGHEL – ZAMBOANGA TOP DOGZ

This hip hop group Zamboanga Top Dogz gets the number one spot for 2009 through its rap/love song Mi Anghel. The members of this crew are Raskullibur (Raskull), El Pinador, Lance Hidden, Ram G.I.E., McGem, Quibo, Don Ramon, Jomz and a Disc Jockey DJRenMark. The group was formed in the mid December of the year 2008.
